Hi Silly Auty Family! What a fabulous adventure it looks like you have all had. We especially like the photo of Merrick on the Camel Train in China. I hope you're settling down okay and the weather isn't making you yearn for the calming grey skies of Melbourne. Yeah Right! The young master Auty is right now serving his Tour of Duty in the highlands of Laos and living it up. He survived the coup in Thailand (though it still won't be resolved by the time I get there) and is now supping the local beer in a beautiful spot, north of the Mekong in the remote highlands. I will be going in undercover to rescue him in less than 2 weeks myself. BTW, I will definitely be in London now b/w 18-25 Jan for two publishing conferences. If I am anywhere near you guys I will look you up!
Anyway, stay tuned for jungle photos of us chasing monkeys, saving ancient artefacts from smugglers (Indiana Jones style) and recovering from nasty diseases that we catch from said monkeys.
